Anthony Roth Costanzo
Countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo began his professional career at just 11 years old and has since made a remarkable mark in opera, concert, and Broadway. In June 2024, he took on the role of General Director and President of Opera Philadelphia, further expanding his influence in the arts. He has graced the stages of prestigious opera houses worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera and San Francisco Opera, and has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic. A champion of new music, Costanzo has premiered works by celebrated composers and produced innovative programs like the New York Philharmonic’s Bandwagon initiative during the pandemic. He is also an award-winning artist, having received accolades such as the Beverly Sills Award and the Musical America Vocalist of the Year. With a strong academic background from Princeton and the Manhattan School of Music, he continues to inspire through performance, production, and teaching.

Meredith Monk
Meredith Monk (b. November 20, 1942, New York City) is a pioneering composer, singer, and director/choreographer celebrated for her groundbreaking contributions to new opera and interdisciplinary performance. Renowned for her innovative use of “extended vocal technique,” Monk creates works that blend music, movement, and visual art, exploring the voice as a powerful instrument of expression. Over her six-decade career, she has received numerous accolades, including the 2019 induction into the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the National Medal of Arts from President Obama. In 1968, she founded The House, a company devoted to interdisciplinary performance, and has since created iconic works for major venues like the Guggenheim Museum and Carnegie Hall. Monk’s filmography includes award-winning projects like Ellis Island and Book of Days, and her music has been featured in films by directors such as Terrence Malick and the Coen Brothers. Currently, she is developing Indra’s Net, the third part of her trilogy exploring humanity’s connection to nature.

Lester Lynch
Lester Lynch has become recognized for his charismatic portrayals and commanding voice as he tackles some of Verdi’s most important characters, amidst rave reviews, from Macbeth to Rigoletto and Simon Boccanegra. But his repertoire extends far beyond the great Verdi roles. He is also an expert in contemporary opera. His performances of Dallapiccola’s, Il Prigioniero, Busoni’s, Doktor Faust and Nico Muley’s, The Glitch have garnered many accolades.
Lynch made his debut at the renowned Teatro alla Scala singing the role of Crown in Porgy and Bess, and the Royal Opera House as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice. Other theaters of note include Lyric Opera Chicago, Semperoper Dresden, Seattle Opera, Volksoper in Vienna, Los Angeles Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and San Francisco Opera.
Most recently, Mr. Lynch performed with the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa in an innovative Verdi vs. Wagner program, sang Tonio, in I Pagliacci with the Tatar Theater, and made his film debut as Merrivale in Gordon Getty’s newly written opera, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, based on the popular 1934 book by James Hilton.
2022 highlights include performances as the Forester in The Cunning Little Vixen by Janáček with the English National Opera, Wotan in Wagner’s Das Rheingold with Nashville Opera . and Scarpia in Tosca with the Berlin Radio Symphony.
Mr. Lynch’s recording work is featured on Pentatone, including performances as Iago in Verdi’s Otello, as Michele in Puccini’s Il Tabarro, and Rance in La Fanciulla del West, as Germont in La Traviata , and his 2017 debut solo album, “On My Journey Now”.
